You know, as I was getting ready this morning, I was thinking to myself. "Hmm.. all the news has been about the election or the economy; not a word on the Bush administration's actions in the past few weeks other than the bailout. I wonder what they're getting away with while no one is paying attention."

No need to wonder any longer.

Yet another anti-choice 'rule'.

Maybe it's because of my background and career aspirations, but I find this particularly offensive. If you want to be doctor and don't want to perform elective abortions, DON'T GO INTO OB/GYN. If you ARE an anti-choice ob/gyn, WHY are you being such a pisser about referring your patients to someone else? Is it really OK for you to put your own values above the patient's needs to the point of NOT PROVIDING THEM WITH INFORMATION? According to the Bush Administration, it is. GIVE THEM A NAME, you TOSSER. Then there's the pharmacists who refuse to dispense prescriptions based on religious beliefs. DON'T BECOME A PHARMACIST if your religious beliefs prevent you from doing your job.

And don't get me started on this obscene Colorado Amendment that's trying to define life as beginning at conception. This would, of course, make ALL abortion, as well as the morning-after pill, murder. I wonder if 'abortion to preserve the mother's life' would be defined as 'justifiable homicide'. Probably it would just be homicide, since we're all just walking uteruses, waiting to be blessed with God's grace and fulfill our divine purpose as baby incubators. *fumes*

Have I told you lately how much I love you, cause I do, I really, really do.

I think the Dr. Who DVDs and raspberry scones say 'I love you' more effectively than words, so yes, you have, many many times. ;p But thank you for saying it again! I Love You too! You remind me that at least 1 person in the middle of the country isn't insane. If you didn't live in Chicago, i think i'd have run away back to the safe coastal areas by now. ;)

Want to ditch school on Tuesday and come to the Obama rally with me - I think I'm one of the lucky ones who managed to snag a ticket

So yo, mah bads for no responding. It's been mad crazy here: it's finals week. I have 1 test down, 3 more to go (although one's a practical, so not that big a biggie). I would LOVE to go to the Obama rally w/you, but I have exactly 1 day to study for my cumulative final of EVERYTHING that is molecular, cell, immuno, and biochem. So I'll be in the library, studiously avoiding being ENRAPTURED by election coverage. Plus, the Obama campaign is all up in mah grillz trying to get us to get out there and rally tomorrow, so I'd feel totally guilty for leaving the All Important Swing State, even if it was to hang out with, you know, SANE people.

Ohgodohgodohgod. I think the election is making me MORE nervous than my finals!

Well I just thought I'd ask :) My ticket got emailed to me tonight!!! Sooo excited that I managed to snag one (those puppies went *fast*). Its all shiny and pretty and has my name on it.

Good luck with your finals!

I still think it's part of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy that finals were put on Election Week. Seriously, I haven't been able to canvas or phone bank or ANYTHING because of these stupid things. And I'd LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE to go to an Obama rally. Last one we'll be getting for a while, and it'll definitely be harder to get into one in four years when he's the incumbent! w00t w00t!

I'm so excited for you! TAKE LOTS OF PICTURES! LOTS AND LOTS!

lol! It is totally a conspiracy :)
Dood, the "Election Night Event" ticket was hard enough to get I don't want to know how much harder it will be in 4 years! I will make sure to not be made of fail in the picture taking department tonight. Promise :)

Off to vote now!!

Now if we could just convince crazy Ohio-ans how right I am...

Thank you! Top of The Rock is THE BEST place to take pictures, but don't worry, it's heavily photoshopped to make the colors more intense. Not even my dad's fancy SLR can get colors that brilliant.
